What's new with Monogram Tools, covering October 12 to October 19.
This was a big week for the site. Several tools were renamed, two new tools appeared on the dashboard, one tool got a meaningful expansion, a handful of pages were removed, and a What's new section showed up across the whole hub. Let's go through what matters most.
The biggest functional change is to Launch Video. It used to be described as a tool you point at a codebase so your own coding agent plans, builds, and renders a video on your computer. That is still there. But now you can also give it a website and get a narrated walkthrough of it. The page title changed from "Launch videos, made by your coding agent" to "Launch videos from a codebase or a website," and the description confirms both inputs are supported.
Two tools that did not exist on the dashboard last week now do. Copywriter lets you write copy in your brand's voice. Screen Recorder lets you record your screen and share a link. Neither has a detail page linked yet, but both are listed as available tools.
Several tools were renamed. The tool called Journey is now Website Explorer. Campaigns is now Email Campaigns. Secrets is now Password Vault. The Share tool, which let you hand one tool to someone outside your workspace on a revocable link, is now called Guest Links. The guide page updated its description of that feature to note that a guest session lasts until they close the browser or 24 hours pass, which is new detail that was not there before.
The video calls tool changed too. Around, which supported up to six people, has been replaced on the dashboard by Meeting, which supports up to 30 people.
Three standalone pages were removed entirely. The Demo Video Generator had its own page; that page is gone. The Tool Catalog had its own page; that is gone too. And the Share tool page is also removed. The dashboard now handles browsing and requesting tools through a section called More tools, and the guide was updated to reflect that.
The guide also updated its description of the dashboard itself. It used to say the dashboard is a grid of your tools and that the Tool Catalog is where you find everything and ask an admin to add something. Now it says the dashboard leads with your tools and that More tools, further down the dashboard, lists the rest, with requesting one sending the request to Monogram directly.
Finally, a What's new link now appears on the main dashboard and on every individual tool page. That is new across the board this week.
